The Hornets and unrestricted free agent Marvin Williams have agreed on a four-year, $54.5 million deal.
This is nice. We have him projected at $16 million over three years and he basically gets $13-14 million over a longer span, which is doable if you’re the Hornets. Williams came into last season in noticeably better shape than we’ve seen him in and it was apparent to anybody that watches basketball for a living in the first week that he was going to be a nice producer. Although the Hornets have too many fours, Williams is the guy that makes it all tick for them and he’ll be a safer play at or around last year’s numbers — depending on the final roster of course. Marvin was our No. 4 power forward in our Hoop Ball free agency ranks.
