Another day, another Paul George rumour. This time it was a three-team deal surrounding the Cavs, Pacers and Nuggets, according to Marc Stein.
League sources: Cavs, Pacers and Nuggets have discussed a three-way deal that would land Paul George in Cleveland and Kevin Love in Denver
— Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) June 25, 2017
George would be the main piece going to the Cavs and it appears that Kevin Love would be on his way to Denver, but what would the Nuggets be giving up? One player speculated to be involved is Gary Harris. Earlier this week it was rumoured that the Nuggets rejected the inclusion of Jamal Murray in a trade for Jimmy Butler and we can also guarantee that Nikola Jokic would also be untouchable. So what does that leave? Well Emmanuel Mudiay, Will Barton, Kenneth Faried and Wilson Chandler would seem to all be in play if such a trade were to materialize. Marc Stein and Chris Haynes indicated that the Nuggets have made the PF position a priority this off-season, so if this trade doesn’t land them Kevin Love look for the Nuggets to be players in the Blake Griffin and Paul Millsap sweepstakes.
The Minnesota Timberwolves appear to be looking at upgrading the point guard position, despite not trading Ricky Rubio on draft night. According to Adam Wells of Bleacher Report the Wolves will be players when Kyle Lowry hits the open market on July 1st. Take this rumour with a grain of salt as Lowry has been linked to the Spurs, Rockets, Raptors and Sixers this off-season but if the Wolves were to land Lowry it would mark a dramatic upgrade to a team that has already acquired Jimmy Butler. A starting five of Lowry, Butler, Wiggins, Dieng and Towns would be fun to watch.

Sticking in the West, it seems that the Rockets are getting ready to make a serious run at Chris Paul. According to @ChrisBHaynes the Rockets have a legitimate shot at luring Chris Paul away from the Clippers. Earlier this week there were rumours that the Rockets had made Lou Williams, Ryan Anderson and Patrick Beverley all available so it seems that there could be some smoke to this rumour. The more pressing question would be could CP3 and James Harden co-exist in Houston since they both love having the ball in their hands.
Lastly, According to an ESPN report, the Cavs would be considered the favourites to land Carmelo Anthony should the Knicks decide to buy him out. Phil Jackson will most likely try to get something for Anthony on the trade market, and it’s hard to fathom the Knicks just letting him walk onto the Cavs’ roster. We’ll have to wait and see if the powers of LeBron come into play here.
