The Nets traded Thaddeus Young to the Pacers for the 20th pick and a future second rounder.
The Nets are clearing the deck and though they might have gotten a better deal if they held out there was no guarantee that it was going to happen. Young is a good but not great NBA player and his deal will go inverted in terms of price-to-value maybe even this season. We’ll have to see how things shake out with the rest of their bigs in free agency but he’s looking at a probable late-round ceiling if they stay relatively deep.
