The Nets have officially waived forward Anthony Bennett and will sign Quincy Acy.
Poor Anthony Bennett just can’t seem to find a spot in this league. After being drafted first overall by the Cavs, it’s been all downhill for him. Hopefully the Canadian will continue to grow and eventually find a spot in the NBA. Bennett made 23 appearances for the Nets this season, averaging 5.0 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.5 assists on 41.3 percent shooting. Acy will be taking his place and could be seeing minutes behind Trevor Booker right off the bat. Don’t expect too much from him though, there are better options out there on the wire.
