According to Ceveland.com’s Terry Pluto, the Nuggets refuse to surrender both Gary Harris and Jamal Murray in a potential trade for Kyrie Irving.
The Nuggets have been in the hunt for most of the brand name stars who have hit the rumor mill since the trade deadline, so their interest isn’t surprising. It’s also probably a smart call to hold onto their rising two-way stud and their point guard of the future, as Irving would likely leave Denver or at the very least test the market in two years time. Cleveland would definitely want at least one of the two players mentioned as the centerpiece of the deal, but the Nuggets’ refusal to include both is smart long-term thinking.
