Paul Millsap has opted out of his $21.4 million contract for the 2017-18 season and will become a free agent, according to The Vertical.
Millsap will be one of the top free agents this summer and will certainly want the max offer wherever he ends up. The Hawks have made it clear that bringing him back is their top priority, while Millsap has also said that he would like to re-sign with Atlanta. Millsap averaged 18.1 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.7 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.9 blocks and 1.1 triples this season, but only managed to play 69 games. He’s a versatile power forward that can do a bit of everything and should remain a top fantasy player.
