Chris Haynes of Cleveland.com wrote on Friday that a trade has been “pondered” in recent days between the Hawks and Suns surrounding Paul Millsap and a collection of Suns picks.
Millsap makes $20 million this year and can opt out of his deal the following year. The Hawks are trying to clear space to keep Al Horford but this could be old and/or irrelevant news. Maybe Atlanta tries to package Kyle Korver and another player like Thabo Sefolosha instead of moving Paul to pay Horford. Or maybe they like Horford better and want to try and were thinking about moving Millsap. The Hawks have become an interesting team today with the Dwight Howard acquisition and now the Horford hunt.
According to sources, a trade that's been pondered in recent days featured Hawks forward Paul Millsap and collection of picks owned by Suns.
