The Cavaliers are finalizing a deal to acquire Mike Dunleavy from the Bulls to complete the Dwyane Wade signing.
The Cavs will look to bring another veteran on board to help defend their championship but Mike Dunleavy’s chronic back problems may have something to say about it. Dunleavy comes with a $5M price tag with a non-guaranteed amount for the following season which provides flexibility for the Cavaliers. Dunleavy will compete with JR Smith for minutes at the 2 and could backup LeBron at the 3 as well. We wouldn’t look his way in standard leagues unless you’re desperate for 3-point shooting. The Cavs will reportedly use a trade exception to acquire Dunleavy.
