• Dwyane Wade has reportedly informed the Bulls that he will sign with them.

The move is pending the clearing of Jose Calderon and Mike Dunleavy off of the Bulls’ books which would clear up over $25M. Wade will join Rajon Rondo and Jimmy Butler (if he doesn’t get traded) to form their own rendition of a big three.

Wade’s breakup with Miami is sure to send shockwaves through the world for the next 24 hours or so but the Heat now find themselves with a lot of cap space to build for the future as they move on from their poster boy. This could actually be a blessing in disguise for the Heat as Wade is noticeably in the declining stage of his career.

The deal is reportedly worth 2-years for $47M including a player option. He was seeking some guaranteed money in the third-year of his deal and one was reportedly offered by the Denver Nuggets, but it seems that Wade ultimately declined the offer to sign with his home town team. Interestingly enough, according to another Heat beat writer, Ethan J. Skolnick, the Heat did not increase their offer to Dwyane Wade to compete with other teams. Another tantalizing development in the Heat/Wade divorce.
