The Grizzlies will give Mike Conley a full five-year max offer according to Tim MacMahon of ESPN.
MacMahon has been breaking a lot of news this offseason for those of you who track that sort of thing. Conley is basically going back to Memphis and we’re just waiting for confirmation. It keeps them from entering a total rebuild and the acquisition of Chandler Parsons, though risky and not a good contract, is a good fit basketball wise as he does some of things they’ve been deficient in for years. As for Conley, he probably doesn’t meet this contract’s value in the final years, but he solidifies a position of need and keeps the Grizz on the radar for future free agents. Along with their draft, Grizzlies fans have to be pretty happy with the way things have turned out so far.
