Restricted free agent Matthew Dellavedova and the Bucks have agreed to a four-year, $38 million deal according to ESPN.
The Bucks need a backup point guard and Dellavedova actually fits. Whether or not he’s worth this much money is debatable but it’s not going to be an albatross of a deal or anything like that. With whoever the Bucks eventually settle on at point guard between Michael Carter-Williams and a player not currently on their roster — and Giannis of course — there won’t be a big need for Dellavedova to handle the ball. Delly’s lob game can be a thing in Milwaukee with all of their leapers but beyond that he needs to just play hard and dirty the way that he did for the Cavs and who knows — maybe he’ll start cutting into MCW’s minutes a bit. And no, we don’t think the Cavs match here and LeBron’s recent tweet confirmed that.
Confirming Matthew Dellavedova four-year, $38.4M deal with Bucks, per source.
