• Tony Jones of the Salt Lake Tribune reports that the Jazz have increased efforts to move Rodney Hood ahead of the trade deadline.

Jones went on to add, “…there is enough interest throughout the league that Hood likely will be with another team for the remainder of the season.” This is the third such report regarding Hood’s future in Utah, so at this point it’d be a minor upset if he was still with the Jazz this time next month. He’s been supplanted in the starting five by star rookie Donovan Mitchell, and he’s good enough that other teams will definitely come calling over the next few weeks. Hood can be a top-110 fantasy player with strong output in scoring, threes and steals and a trade to the right time might leave him room for more. He’s a very streaky shooter, however, and another team may view him as a better fit off the bench. Alec Burks would probably jump into the backup SG spot if a trade goes down, and he had some nice moments in extended run earlier in the year. Jones also mentioned Derrick Favors as a player the Jazz are making available.
