• Tyreke Evans, Marco Belinelli and Rodney Hood are reportedly “locks” to be traded prior to Thursday’s 12pm PST deadline according to Marc Stein of the New York Times.

“Memphis’s Tyreke Evans, Utah’s Rodney Hood and the Atlanta Hawks’ veteran sharpshooter Marco Belinelli are widely regarded as locks to be dealt before Thursday’s deadline.”

Evans and Belinelli have both been sidelined by their respective teams in advance of the deadline as trade discussions surrounding them continue. Meanwhile, Hood has continued to play for the Jazz and recently dropped 30 points on 12-of-14 shooting (4-of-4 from three) against the Pelicans. Hood is a restricted free agent this summer who will likely receive a big deal, something the Jazz are hesitant to commit too. Evans is having a massive season for the Grizzlies, who are seeking a first round pick for his services, and can really help a team in the playoff race. Belinelli is a solid scoring option to bring off the bench too. Returns for each player might be a little underwhelming for each team, but as Stein notes, it’s increasingly likely they have new homes come Thursday afternoon.
