• Shams Charania of The Vertical reported on Friday that the Pelicans and Lance Stephenson have come to an agreement.

This will be seen as a sign that Jrue Holiday might be needing more time off rather than less time off, but the Pelicans are thin at small forward and were probably looking at him as a safety net, anyway.  Owners thinking they’re getting peak Stephenson from a few years back should definitely slow their roll.  Alvin Gentry isn’t going to let Lance play the way he wants to play — he already has Tyreke Evans to do that — and even at full speed Stephenson was never a great standard league asset.  We’re not envisioning him stealing too many minutes from assets like E’Twaun Moore, Langston Galloway, Buddy Hield, Evans or Holiday.
