Restricted free agent Alex Len has agreed to a one-year, $4.2 million qualifying offer from the Suns according to Shams Charania.
It was interesting there for a second after Alan Williams suffered a partially-torn meniscus as Len’s leverage picked up, but there still isn’t any real market for big men and the Suns can give him what he needs most and that’s playing time. Of course, it’ll need to come after they figure out what they’re doing with Tyson Chandler, but the Williams injury started a 6-8 week timetable and opened a window for Len to start making his case for minutes. We still like him to climb up over 20 mpg and that makes him worth a look in deeper formats.
