Stephen Curry scored 29 points on 10-of-20 shooting (including five threes) with five rebounds, 11 assists and one steal in the Warriors’ 125-121 series clinching win over the Blazers in Game 5 on Wednesday.
Curry hit a bunch of ridiculous shots and a dagger down the stretch and it’s safe to ask if Michael Jordan had this many late-game daggers — and in particular of the difficulty and theatricality of the ones we see from Curry. Whatever the case may be, just sit back and enjoy what you’re seeing because you never know how long it will last and it’s something we may not see for a very long time.
Now the Warriors can rest up for the winner of the Spurs and Thunder series. Draymond Green (13 points, 11 boards, six assists, two steals, one block) tweaked his left ankle and we’ll be watching that, and Curry of course will get some time to rest his previously injured knee.
