The Sixers selected combo guard Markelle Fultz with the No. 1 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft.
Fultz heads into a pretty good situation in Philly even with Ben Simmons needing the ball in his hands and Joel Embiid believing at times that he is a point guard. He’ll get plenty of touches and he enters the league with good shooting percentages last year, including 47.6 percent from the field, 41.3 percent from deep, but his foul shooting is really random — 64.9 percent on a whopping 6.7 attempts per game. He averaged 1.6 steals and 1.2 blocks so he’s got a chance to be a non-zero in that department. The foul shooting and questions about volume will likely push him into a late-mid round valuation but he could easily get hyped up into the early-mid rounds.
