After Saturday’s blockbuster, the Celtics’ big deliberation will be between Duke’s Jayson Tatum and Kansas’ Josh Jackson with the third pick in Thursday’s draft.
The Celtics have been rumored to love Jackson, but apparently Tatum is on the board. Both boast tremendous talent, though Jackson also has some 0ff-court baggage. Clearly that hasn’t been enough to hurt his draft stock but perhaps it gives teams a moment of pause. Of course, this is assuming that the Lakers don’t go off the board and indeed select UCLA’s Lonzo Ball at No 2. It doesn’t seem like Boston would pick Ball, but one never knows. There’s a lot still left to be decided after Markelle Fultz is taken first overall.
