Minnesota reporter Darren Wolfson recorded a podcast with Wolves majority owner Glen Taylor in which it was revealed that the team has formally offered a contract extension to Andrew Wiggins.
Wiggins would like the max, but it sounds like that might not be the case with the first offer. Wolfson had a follow up tweet saying that Taylor is willing to pay the max, with the implication that that isn’t what’s currently on the table. That being said, expect something to work out between the two sides after they’ve repeatedly rejected potential trade offers involving the 22-year-old. Wiggins will be a late round fantasy selection due to his lack of defensive stats and the number of high volume players surrounding him on the new-look Wolves.
