Magic star Aaron Gordon (strained calf) will sit out Wednesday’s game against the Bulls.
Gordon will miss his fourth game out of the last five. In his absence the Magic have been playing smaller lineups featuring Jonathon Simmons at the four and Mario Hezonja at the three. The big man’s next chance to return will be Friday against the Knicks. Hezonja is a lottery ticket add after his recent surge of strong play (top-21 over the last three games) and he is still just 22 years old. However, when the Magic are fully healthy a bench role is all that will be available for him.
