Anthony Davis’ left ankle was “swelling significantly” prior to boarding the team’s flight back from Sacramento on Wednesday night.
Davis tried to stay in the game for a possession but really couldn’t move and had to take an intentional foul to get off the court. He’s set to undergo an MRI later today, so we should have a better idea of his recovery timeframe in a few hours. In the meantime, this pretty much locks Emeka Okafor into a starting lineup on a playoff contender in 2018 while Nikola Mirotic seems likely to slide back in at power forward. Cheick Diallo is going to get a solid boost as the only true big on the bench, while Darius Miller may see extra run in smaller lineups. Jrue Holiday’s usage is about to skyrocket, and he and Mirotic will remain early-round plays. The others are all worth a flier in deep formats.
