Anthony Davis (right thigh bruise) said he expects to play against the Spurs on Friday.
When healthy, Davis might be the best player in fantasy basketball, or at least in the top three. Many owners that drafted him in the bottom of the first round this year are sitting near the top of the standings because of him. The Pelicans are holding on for dear life in the Western Conference, sitting only two and a half games in back of the eighth seed. As long as they are in the race, expect them to try to get Davis on the court whenever possible. The problem however, is that Davis has never played more than 68 games in a season and always seems to be dealing with some sort of injury. If the Pelicans find themselves out of the playoff race, they may be more lenient in sitting Davis, which could hurt in the fantasy playoffs.
