Anthony Davis briefly left Saturday’s exhibition with a shoulder ailment but returned later. Meanwhile, Dante Cunningham was held out with a hip flexor.
With the injuries being relatively minor, both players are expected to be fully healthy for the season opener. Davis averaged a career-high in points and rebounds with 28.0 and 11.8. He finished second overall in per-game production in standard fantasy leagues last year and was in the top-5 in each of the last four seasons. He should do the same again this year but his inclination to miss games due to minor injuries may prevent him from being a top-5 pick. Dante Cunningham produced 6.6 points and 4.2 rebounds in 25.0 minutes last year and should see similar production this season. He will not be worth drafting in standard leagues.
