Aron Baynes remains day-to-day with a sprained knee but told Celtics beat writer Scott Souza that he’s confident he’ll be ready for Tuesday’s regular season opener.
Baynes sustained the injury in his last preseason game but had been putting a nice run together. The Celtics will use him as a starter for select matchups and he figures to be called upon when Boston needs to slow down some of the burlier centers in the league. He’s not the worst guy to grab late in deep leagues if you’re looking for typical big man stats.
