Celtics coach Brad Stevens didn’t have much on Aron Baynes’ sprained knee after Monday, only saying that he didn’t know the severity and that Baynes would be re-evaluated at a later date.
It’s unfortunate for Baynes, who had turned in a nice preseason to this point. He figures to be a matchup-dependent starter this season and will bring some toughness and rebounding against the league’s burlier frontcourt players. It’s helpful for the Celtics but won’t yield fantasy value.
