• An MRI on Austin Rivers‘ strained Achilles came back negative and he’s being considered day-to-day going forward, per a report from Shams Charania of The Vertical.

    While it’s obviously good news considering the spectrum of Achilles injuries, Rivers might still miss a few games. Even simple strains can be tricky injuries and the Clippers don’t have much incentive to rush anyone back to action. The big winners here are the already-relevant fantasy plays on the roster, who figure to see more touches. C.J. Williams and Jawun Evans should see some extra minutes while Rivers is out but neither is a great fantasy option. While Rivers himself isn’t all that inspiring, he’s probably worth holding onto if you can afford to wait given his sizeable role and 3-point output.
