• Bradley Beal will get an MRI on his injured right hamstring on Thursday according to Scott Brooks.

Beal finished with just three points on 1-of-8 shooting with four rebounds and one steal in 11 minutes in Wednesday’s game and this is why we told you not to touch him last year, let alone this year.  His contract will be in the running for worst deal of this past offseason. Marcus Thornton (16 points, 5-of-13 FGs, two treys, four rebounds, four assists, three steals) fits the profile of a crusty vet that Brooks will overplay, and Trey Burke had 18 points on 7-of-9 shooting with three triples and two assists in 17 minutes.  Preseason crush Kelly Oubre played three minutes and neither he nor Burke are worth much, but Thornton might have some short-term, speculative appeal.

Update: Beal thinks he’ll play this weekend but Thornton might have some low-end appeal while Brooks is being Brooks.
