Brandon Jennings started Wednesday’s game but only played 24 minutes for 16 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 treys.
Scott Skiles must not have liked what he was seeing from Brandon Jennings and opted to play C.J. Watson (7 points, 7 assists) for 25 minutes and Mario Hezonja for 30 minutes. Jennings was able to produce in the box score in his limited minutes and will likely start again if Elfrid Payton (elbow) misses any more time. Payton appears to be day-to-day with a minor elbow injury so Jennings’ days in the starting lineup are numbered. Hezonja scored 11 points on 5-of-10 shooting (including a three) with four rebounds, three assists and one block, and he’s still a risky stash because it’s practically impossible to know when Skiles is going to set him loose.
