Brandon Knight (groin) practiced on Tuesday and suited up for Wednesday’s game but did not play, and if he needs another practice to return to action he might not play until March 17 against the Jazz writes Arizona Republic beat writer Paul Coro.
“It’s more of a mental thing, the conditioning, the fatigue,” Watson said before Wednesday night’s game. “We don’t want him to come back and injure something else.” The Suns aren’t slated to practice until Tuesday and thus the return date could theoretically get pushed back, and we’ll just add that often times beat writers will put these type of hypotheticals in their stories because of information they’ve gotten on background and the like. Still, Knight could wake up tomorrow and say he wants to play, and there would be a pretty good chance that the Suns would let him.
