• Brett Brown sat with ESPN during Saturday’s Summer League game and said that Joel Embiid (foot) won’t get back on the court and start participating in games or intense scrimmages “for a while.”

Brown added “he has been involved with what we call ‘a controlled scrimmage,’ and really the word ‘controlled’ means just ‘duration of time.’  He can’t go for two hours, he can’t go for 35-45 minutes.  He’s been in that role with us for a while.”  There is a long time between now and the regular season, but Embiid is definitely questionable to play on Opening Night.
