Lakers center Brook Lopez had an MRI that confirmed a moderate ankle sprain and he will be reevaluated in three weeks.
The video of the sprain looked pretty bad so this news isn’t surprising for those of you who saw it. Now when the Lakers go big Andrew Bogut and Ivica Zubac will see added time, but Lopez was only averaging 22 minutes per game because the Lakers like to play small often with Larry Nance or Julius Randle at the five. Kyle Kuzma will also see added run at power forward when the latter two big men shift down. 20-year-old Thomas Bryant will also see some action as the Lake show will want to see what they have in their second round pick of 2017.
