Brook Lopez sat out drills today during Lakers practice but did get a few shots up.
Lopez has recently shed his injury-prone label playing 72,73 and 75 games over the last three years, so the concern here is minor. Expect the Lakers to continue the planned rest days for the big man as well as capping his minutes (30 mpg with Nets last year). The 29-year-old was a top-25 player last season, but that was with a hyper-paced Nets team with little to no other quality options. His usage will take a dip in LA and he could lose some minutes to the young Ivica Zubac especially if the Lakers are not in the playoff hunt. However, as long as his health remains top-50 value could still be in the cards.
