Bucks GM John Hammond told AP contributor Andrew Gruman that Jabari Parker could return from his latest ACL tear by the All-Star Break.
Hammond says that Parker is progressing well, though the ASB is at the early end of his potential return timetable. The 22-year old has now suffered two ACL tears in his left knee and will undoubtedly have injury questions looming over him for years to come. It’s a real shame, as Parker was on the way to a career season with 20.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, 2.3 assists, 1.0 steals, 0.4 blocks and 1.3 triples in 33.9 minutes per game across 50 contests. He’s part of a fantastic young core that has Milwaukee positioned to join the league’s elite in the coming years, health permitting. This news will make him tough to draft next season in leagues without an IR spot, but he could go the Khris Middleton route and become a game-changer down the stretch for anyone lucky (or proactive) enough to stash him.
