Caris LeVert underwent surgery to repair ligament damage in his right thumb on Thursday.
As yesterday's reports mentioned, LeVert is expected to miss several weeks. His season has gotten off to a slow start (top-170/250 in 8/9-cat), though the counting numbers are still in a respectable range. With LeVert out, look for Garrett Temple to start with additional minutes and ball-handling work going to Spencer Dinwiddie and Joe Harris, with forward minutes potentially opening up for down-bench guys like Dzanan Musa, David Nwaba and Rodions Kurucs. LeVert was sporting a 26.0 usage, which should mean plenty of touches spread relatively evenly across multiple players. Dinwiddie and Temple seem like the biggest beneficiaries. LeVert should be held if you have an IR spot at your disposal.
