Fantasy News

  • Jakarr Sampson
    SF, Indiana Pacers

JaKarr Sampson (back) has been upgraded to questionable for Friday.

Sampson has been out for about three weeks now, so it's good to see him finally make some progress. He doesn't have any fantasy value while the Pacers are healthy.

  • Tyson Chandler
    C, Houston Rockets

Tyson Chandler (illness) is doubtful for Friday's game.

Chandler's availability doesn't have any impact in fantasy.

  • Andre Drummond
    C, Detroit Pistons

Andre Drummond (left eye inflammation) is questionable for Thursday's game against the Mavs.

Drummond's injury comes out of nowhere and hopefully it's something he'll be able to play through in a nice matchup. If he's unable to go, Christian Wood becomes a great short-term add while Thon Maker should also get some extra minutes. Check back for an update later tonight.

  • Dion Waiters
    SG, Miami Heat

Dion Waiters (illness) has been ruled out for Friday.

If it's not one thing it's another with Waiters, who isn't a fantasy option in any format.

  • Tyler Herro
    PG, Miami Heat

Tyler Herro (illness) missed Thursday's practice and is questionable for Friday's matchup with the Lakers.

Herro was on a nice little run before going scoreless on 0-for-6 shooting on Tuesday, and this news only compounds the problem for GMs who just snatched him up off waivers. He's proven to be a streaky player so far in his young career but remains an upside hold in most formats, especially while Justise Winslow, Goran Dragic and Dion Waiters all remain sidelined.

  • Goran Dragic
    PG, Miami Heat

Goran Dragic (groin strain) will not suit up on Friday.

Dragic has missed the last five games and is becoming tough to hold in 12-team formats, even with top-120 standing in 8-cat leagues. The Heat haven't said anything about a timetable and if you need help immediately, it's probably alright to set Dragic free on the waiver wire. Kendrick Nunn will continue to see extra run.

  • Justise Winslow
    SF, Miami Heat

Justise Winslow (back) has been ruled out ahead of Friday's tilt with the Lakers.

Winslow just can't stay healthy, appearing in only 10 games so far this season. He's safe to drop in 12-team formats if you need immediate production, and the glut of ball-handlers in Miami caps his upside significantly even when healthy.

  • Robert Williams III
    C-F, Boston Celtics

Robert Williams (sore left hip) has been ruled out for Thursday.

Williams' absence will give more minutes to Daniel Theis and Enes Kanter. The second-year big man has been on the cusp of top-150 value for most of the season but his floor is shaky as a low-minute guy that needs to block shots by the handful to make him worth the trouble.

  • Gordon Hayward
    SF, Boston Celtics

Gordon Hayward (facial contusion) is probable to face the Sixers on Thursday.

Hayward was forced out of last night's game after taking a shot to the face so this is excellent news, as he's avoided a concussion and should be able to return to the lineup immediately.

  • Marcus Smart
    PG, Boston Celtics

A left eye infection will keep Marcus Smart out of the lineup on Thursday.

Smart also missed Wednesday's game, which allowed Brad Wanamaker to come through with a solid performance. He's a streaming option on a light four-game night but Smart isn't expected to be out for much longer.
