Chandler Parsons left Friday’s game against the Warriors due to a hamstring injury in the third quarter and did not return.
Parsons logged 22 minutes with 14 points on 4-of-8 shooting (2-of-4 3PTs, 4-of-4 FTs), three boards and three steals before getting ruled out. The Mavs were within striking distance and they need every win they can get, but it’s possible they don’t have high hopes of beating the Warriors. Or, that has nothing to do with why he is out and they’ll evaluate the injury on a standalone basis. We’ll let you know when we get an update. If he misses time the Mavs could go small and owners would have to pick between the backup guard crew of Raymond Felton, J.J. Barea and Devin Harris, or Rick Carlisle could get funky and give Justin Anderson a big promotion.
Parsons’ injured hamstring is also on the same leg that required the hybrid microfx procedure last summer. Worth monitoring moving forward.
