Reports surfaced Friday morning that Chris Bosh will not play in the NBA ever again.
This is a tough pill to swallow for Chris Bosh, his fans, the Heat, and also the NBA. You never like to see a player’s career end by injury, but in this situation its hard to see a possible life-threatening situation end player’s career as well. We won’t hear from Chris Bosh or the Heat on this matter until the season is concluded. If the Heat do not want Bosh to play because they deem his ailments too risky, we could see a standoff between Bosh, Pat Riley and Micky Arison this summer. Bosh reportedly wanted to file a grevience with the Players Association while trying to get clearance from doctors to play. Miami still holds Bosh’s contract for the next three seasons totaling almost $75 million.
