• Coach Mike D’Antoni said he is hopeful that Chris Paul (adductor) will play in one of the Rockets next two games, but is not confident.

“I’m not confident,” Rockets coach Mike D’Antoni said. “He wants to (play.) Trying to hold him back is hard. We want to make sure he’s 100 percent. I’m confident against the Lakers at home (on Monday) he’ll be back. I’m hopeful for one of these two games, but I don’t want to go there yet.” So consider Paul questionable for Thursday and Friday’s back-to-back and probable for Monday against the Lakers. In his absence Eric Gordon will see an uptick in minutes and usage as the starting two guard while Briante Weber will come off the bench at point guard. James Harden will see his usual usage uptick as the main point guard, but a dip in efficiency.
