Chris Paul (hamstring) returned to action in Friday’s road win over the Kings, scoring 14 points on 3-of-5 shooting (1-of-2 from deep, 7-of-8 from the line) with six rebounds, 12 assists and three steals in 31 minutes.
Paul was pissed when Doc pulled him early on a shift at one point and then for the most part everything went as planned. Austin Rivers scored 24 points with four treys, six boards and two assists when the Kings couldn’t cover the 3-point line, and J.J. Redick chipped in with 19 points, five threes and four boards. Raymond Felton took a back seat with Paul back and managed just five points, three boards and two assists, but Jamal Crawford got his licks in with nine points, eight assists and a triple-one in the win.
