With Michael Kidd-Gilchrist and Nicolas Batum reentering the lineup for the Hornets coach Steve Clifford offered his thoughts on the rotation and confirmed that Jeremy Lamb will still play big minutes.
Clifford spoke about Lamb, offering that “he doesn’t care whether he starts, but we’re not going to change his role. He has a way to play to allows him to play well. He’s got to get that kind of minutes.” He also spoke highly about Michael Carter-Williams and called Dwayne Bacon an every night rotation player. Lamb probably won’t play 30.3 minutes moving forward, but he should still be good for minutes in the mid-20s, where he should maintain standard league value. Clifford said of Batum,“It’s going to take Nic some time to get back to his minutes.” It could be a gradual transition when Batum returns, presumably on Wednesday.
