Speaking on a coaches show Tuesday, Jazz coach Quin Snyder said that he “hopes” Rodney Hood is back in two weeks.
This news comes in a tough spot for owners, as Hood was a top-60 player last week and was really hitting his stride. If you are in a tight spot and need to make the playoffs, it makes sense to drop Hood and cut your losses. If you have the luxury, hang on. Joe Ingles will start in Hood’s absence on Tuesday, at the very least. Ingles will likely see 24 or more minutes per game and is worth a short-term stab if you want steals and a few 3-pointers.
