Kyle Neubeck of PhillyVoice.com is reporting that a CT scan and X-rays have come back negative on Robert Covington, though the small forward has already been ruled out on Sunday and is looking doubtful for Tuesday.
Covington landed on a metal object in the stands late in Sunday’s loss and hurt his back. Timothe Luwawu-Cabarrot will pick up extra minutes but is just a deep league option. The Sixers will spread the wealth around their bevy of three/four types and hope that Covington gets back to action soon. He’s riding a career-best shooting season to second round value in fantasy leagues and will be sorely missed by his owners.
