• Damian Lillard (ankle) will not play on Wednesday against the Kings, as expected, but could return to action on Friday when the Blazers start a three-game road trip.

Don’t be surprised if the Blazers play a little bit better with their backs against the wall and a more balanced offense now that Lillard is out.  And before anybody gets too worked up, yes Lillard is the best player on the team and no it is not close.  The combo of he and C.J. McCollum has created a take turns offense and it’s hard for their teammates to get into any sort of rhythm offensively.   And we all know that defensively players are much more engaged when they touch the ball on offense.  Evan Turner will be a strong start and Allen Crabbe could end up going big against a Kings team that struggles to stop the three.
