D’Angelo Russell (knee) did non-contact, full-court work on Friday and also did some 5-on-0 drills.
Russell will not play in Friday’s game but Sunday’s game is a possibility, and either way this situation looks like it might be coming to a close soon. We’ll call him more day-to-day than week-to-week and the only thing this really does to the Lakers is get the older, veteran backups out of the mix and bring Lou Williams more in line with his normal top-100 production. Rookie Brandon Ingram will have a 2-3 week lull but his arrow is steadily pointing up and he’s a hold.
