Daniel Theis is expected to undergo surgery for his torn meniscus on Thursday.
It’s expected to keep him out for the season, so he’s safe to drop in all formats. The rookie big man will finish with season averages of 5.3 points, 4.3 rebounds, 0.5 steals, 0.8 blocks and 0.3 3-pointers per game in 14.8 minutes. It’s possible he can return in the playoffs with a speedy recovery but the Celtics will need to hold up their end of the bargain and make an extended run for that to be a realistic option. Greg Monroe gets a nice boost with this news and is worth a pickup in most formats, especially after last night’s strong performance.
