Even though the Clippers haven’t provided a timetable for Danilo Gallinari’s return, he thinks he will remain sidelined for a period of 10 days to two weeks.
Gallinari missed his first game of the season on Tuesday because of a strained left glute injury he suffered in the first half of Sunday’s game against the Miami Heat at Staples Center. “It’s not a serious injury,” Clippers coach Doc Rivers said. “The bottom line is we are going to wait until he is ready anyway.” Wesley Johnson started and played 33 minutes on Tuesday scoring 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting (2-of-3 from deep) to go with six rebounds, two assists a steal and a block. He might be a good temporary pickup in deeper leagues for owners looking for defensive stats and the occasional three.
