After taking a nasty fall in the first quarter of Friday’s game against the Suns, Dante Exum’s MRI has revealed a separated shoulder with ligament damage.
It is not known whether Exum will require surgery or not. If his injury does not require surgery, he may be back in one month’s time. If it does, he may sidelined for up to six months, depending on severity and type of procedure. Donovan Mitchell and Raul Neto will likely absorb Exum’s backup point guard minutes.
Sources: Utah's Dante Exum could miss season with separated left shoulder. Doctors, Jazz officials conferring on recovery/timetable options.
