The Pelicans released their injury report for Tuesday’s game, revealing that both DeMarcus Cousins and Anthony Davis will miss tomorrow’s contest with the Lakers.
The Pels may be shutting down their Fire & Ice combo since there’s nothing left to play for. Davis was a monster this season, finally staying relatively healthy despite a handful of mid-game locker room trips that made owners sweat. AD established a new career-high in games played and was a huge steal for owners who were able to grab him late in round one. Cousins was finally dealt out of a dysfunctional Kings organization, though it remains to be seen how his fit alongside The Brow affects his fantasy value. He’s probably going to remain a top-20 player but his first round days might be gone in this scenario. Obviously you won’t find anyone who can make up for the lost value tomorrow but Alexis Ajinca seems like a safe bet for big minutes against a weak Laker frontcourt. E’Twaun Moore is also listed as probable, so fire him up if you’re desperate for threes.
