Rick Carlisle revealed that Dennis Smith Jr. will miss multiple games with his sprained ankle.

Smith is no longer wearing a walking boot but won’t play Tuesday, has now been informally ruled out for Thursday and is highly unlikely to play at all this week. Carlisle said “He’s going to be out for awhile, but not serious. I don’t have a timetable, but he’s going to miss, I would say, some games.” Yogi Ferrell and Kyle Collinsworth will start while J.J. Barea will probably stick in his bench role once he’s healthy enough to return to action. Barea is the play for assists, Ferrell is the play for points and threes and Collinsworth is a deep league dart throw who at least has a steady workload coming. Smith can be dropped in re-draft formats.
