• Dennis Smith Jr.
    PG, Dallas Mavericks

Rick Carlisle said that Dennis Smith Jr. is likely to return to action on Saturday against the Hornets.

Despite initially appearing in a walking boot after the injury, it looks like Smith will skate by with just a two-game absence. He’s improved his play in the second half of the season but remains enough of a drag on your efficiency and turnovers that he’s more of a punt play than a certified 12-team option. You can give DSJ a look if you need some points but be aware of the damage he can do elsewhere. J.J. Barea will shift back to the bench but has his outlook relatively unchanged, while Yogi Ferrell will take a slightly larger hit as a points and threes type of player.
